I used to pay for antivirus software and I was afraid to try free antivirus software because I thought it would not be as good. I used MvAfee for a couple years but it slowed down mypersonal too much. I then used Norton Antivirus for a while, but that gave me too many false positives and it seemed to conflict with everything.

Then I read on article on the best free antivirus software and I found out that there were some really good free antivirus products out there. The article reviewed Avast, AVG, and Avari. The author liked Avast ideal so that’s the one I tried. It is working great. It even found some viruses and spyware that Norton missed. Not only am I using the best free antivirus, I think it is the ideal antivirus period.
