Constant revolution in the job market is called "churning" and many jobless people feel victimized. This phenomenon about jobs is made by many developments and every age seems to search for easy explanations about what's transpiring in the job market. Every age hunts for a new "devil" we can aim at and accuse, specifically if I am the one who's lost his job.

Some of the circumstances in the past which have been used to clarify job churn contain new technologies and inventions that rob jobs from human beings, or the installation of big box stores that put mom-and-pop places out of business. As time goes on, new services and technology usher in new ways, more efficient ways, to do old, familiar tasks, in turn taking old jobs down the tubes.

A recent "devil" was outsourcing or the course of transferring American jobs and tasks abroad into other job markets where human labor is less expensive. We can't blame companies and employers for trying to cut labor costs. But when those jobs go to prisoners or illegal immigrants, there can be an outcry.

The current "devil" is a not good economy, a challenging turn of events being brought about by a diverse range of factors including mortgage failures, home foreclosures and financial misconduct among large banks and Wall Street firms. To some extent, the American worker has a right to view him or herself a victim of circumstances. The truth of the circumstance, no matter how victimized you may feel, the bad guy or the devil is not going to deliver you or make things more desirable.

I remember a guy that has sent out well over 1000 resumes with not one single bite. It would seem that's all he knows to do in the current job climate. But I've got to ask him how many more resumes will he have to send out before he realizes he is doing a churning of your own? You know the old saying: if you don't want to go bats from doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results, then do something else.

So what can a people do that's different? Sure, keep posting out those resumes, but remember this: not only are all jobs mortal, but ways of gaining employment also come and go and have a lifespan, which ends with, "The old way just doesn't work anymore."

Here are some suggestions:

- Put a video of yourself on a website advertising yourself and what you're capable of doing for others and in turn, compensation.

- Talk to people, in other words, network, instead of only sending out resumes.

- Frequent job coaching groups and hear what others are doing different.

- Cultivate a clientele for a craft or service you can provide and become your own administrator.

- Check out job positions overseas.

- Rather than looking for a job that will be full-time, with full benefits, think in terms of jobs that are more like gigs, that is, one time execution of a service or task.

A desired step of mine that's unusual to do is get a coach who can aid you think outside the box and be more objective about your circumstance. Some one else can always be more objective than we are about our predicament and thus consider more clearly about new means to get money in this prevailing new age of employment.
