If you've never played a Rogue in World of Warcraft, then, seriously, what are you waiting for? The Rogue is one of my absolute favorite character types and I have a feeling it will be one of yours as well.

For people new to World of Warcraft, or someone who is soloing, a Rogue is a great option. They have a lot of built in skills and abilities which make them easier to use solo. To begin with an obvious one--You can Stealth up to enemies and Sap them, Pickpocket them, and then kill them, using your awesome Dual Wield and super fast combos! Also, for the soloers out there, the Rogue has some awesome skills which allow you to run away fast if you are getting ganked, including Sprint and Vanish-which is great if in the middle of a fight you need to bandage!

Plus, Rogues simply have some of the coolest skills, I mean what's cooler than lockpicking and pickpocketing?

If you are searching to utilize a Rogue Leveling Guide, then be aware that you may not get to experience everything in the game, plus you may not be able to learn every skill/profession in the book. This is OK, it is all in the name of leveling as fast as possible. You will be able to do all the stuff you weren't able to and more when you're a level 80;)

Rogue Professions-Rogues work well with a variety of professions. It really depends on what you want to do with your Rogue. If you are purely out to make gold, then the best thing for you is probably a Gatherer. With gathering, you pick two of the three gathering professions (Mining/Skinning/Herbalism) and just sell everything you get. For a Rogue the best two would be Mining/Skinning because of buffs you get from them. Other great combinations for a Rogue are Skinning/Leatherworking to make your own armor, Mining/Engineering, to make toys and weapons. Herbalism/Alchemy is great for making and selling potions.

If using a Rogue Leveling Guide, you can expect to powerlevel quicker than many other character classes. This is because you will die less and have the ability to kill creatures which are a higher level as well as do higher level quests, thus getting more xp.

When looking for your Rogue guide, be sure that you get one that is in a format that you like. A lot of these guides come in an ebook format, which doesn't work very well when you are trying to play the game and alt-tab back and forth to see what you are doing. The same problems with video. The perfect type, I think, are the in-game add-on guides. Just make sure that they comply with Blizzard rules and they are intelligent. This means that they are aware of which quests you have done already and adjust accordingly.
