The Paladin (or Pally as a lot of people prefer to call them) is one of the most popular character classes in World of Warcraft. This is for quite a lot of reasons, but one of them is that being a Paladin allows you to have the best of all worlds. You have spells/healing, physical power, great solo and great in a group. This class even has the additional advantage of being less complicated to solo than most other classes.

The Paladin is not considered to be squishy (ie, easy to kill) like different magic users. This is due to their ability to put on leather body armor, their strength, and their ability to use weapons like the mace, that squishies usually cannot use.

Paladins have lots of unique skills, like blessings, seals and auras. They could use blessings on other characters in a group or instance to help them all out. Because of the Paladin's various skills and abilities, they make an excellent choice for somebody who is unsure about what type of character they want to play.

If you are new to WOW, a Paladin is a great option, They are easy to solo with and you would be able to to experience everything with one. You will not end up in the graveyard too often with this one!

If you get high enough to get talent points (level ten), you will want to begin figuring out your retribution tree. This is the best way to up your DPS (damage per second) ASAP.

Either you will have to constantly alt-tab, or print out lots of pages of info. there are now guides which are in game and work like an add on. Remember to get one which is intelligent and can tell what you have and have not completed, to give you flexibility, since a rigid guide just stinks.
