4. Finalize the outline. Polish the edges and make them round. Erase unimportant lines and scribbles. Lightly trace all major details.

5. Add the minor details. Draw headlights, mirrors, seats, doors & door handles, windows, air-intake, etc. Use a well-sharpened pencil to draw tiny and complicated details.

6. Do the shading. If you want your drawing to appear more realistic, you must know the way to shade properly. First, decide where the light will come from. Then, shade your drawing with the right type of pencil and use the eraser to create highlights. You can use pencils from HB to 5B. Use a darker pencil to create darker hues.

7. Color your drawing. Well, this step is non-compulsory. You can use colored pencils or watercolor. You can even use oil pastels or paint. Nonetheless, you can opt to retain a black and white drawing. It all depends on your taste and preference.

8. Add shadows for the ultimate touches. To be able to add up the appropriate shadows, you have to imagine where the light comes from. Place a little marking on your paper to represent this light source. Then, add shadows on the areas that this light cannot reach.
