My favorite is planning her wedding day for the end of June. I decided to have a wedding shower for her at our house. Her favorite flowers have always been daisies and carnations. I went to the local farmers market the day before the shower and purchased large bunches of daisies & carnations to make flower arrangements for the shower. I had stopped at the floral shop the week before to buy floral arrangements, but after seeing the prices I decided to do them myself. The florist is the individual that recommended that I go to the farmers market to buy the flowers, specifically since they were both in season. I thought it may be like a flea market as well, & I could grab some wholesale wedding favors. By buying the flowers that were in season I was able to save even more.

When I got home from the farmers market I cut the size the daisies and carnations to different lengths & made flower arrangements in three crystal vases to place around the home. I still had enough flowers left to do a small arrangement for the bathrooms. It's always an appreciated touch to place fresh flowers in the bath-room when you are entertaining. When you do your own flower arrangements you can utilize your own vases, which adds to the special touch.

The morning of the bridal shower I checked the flower arrangements to see if they needed more water. They were still looking fresh and the bright colors of the flowers gave the rooms feels warm and homey.

My niece enjoyed the lovely & wonderful gifts that the guests had brought. And she hadn't even seen the wholesale wedding favors I bought yet! We visited and gave pieces of advice to the bride about having a long and happy marriage. I had framed some photos that I had gotten from the mother of the bride and mom of the groom. I had photos of the two of them growing up as well as pictures of the two of them on assorted vacations that they've taken together. My niece was so pleased with these that she decided to use them at the wedding day reception also, together with the wholesale wedding favors. We also ate a light lunch and had cake that I had also adorned with fresh cut flowers.
